We all have our POV…Point-of-View…and Planet Earthlings is no different. We believe people everywhere are more similar than we are different. When aliens approach Earth they won’t be able to see our countries because borders aren’t visible from space. They’ll see us all as “Earthlings.” So we’re building a universe for children that will be full of things to do to encourage everyone to embrace our connections, bridge our differences, and strive for understanding. To do this we want to bring together individuals, groups, companies and even governments to create a ever expanding macrocosm of activities that are fun, educational and empowering. Anyone with ideas zipping along in more-or-less the same direction are welcome to join…to build games, apps or even your own planet. Of course, everyone else is welcome here for an open and honest discussion…but we have two important suggestions:
- The Golden Rule: “Do onto others as you would have them do onto you.” Mutual respect, personal responsibility, and trying to be understanding can help all us Earthlings to get along.
- Sticks and Stones: “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me.” Everyone has different opinions and ways of expressing them. There’s no reason to be rude, but sometimes misunderstandings happen…and learning to communicate is key to overcoming our differences.
Welcome Earthlings and Aliens! Please let us know about you and how you would like to be involved. There are opportunities for people of all ages…all over the globe. Youngsters can become “Kidvisors.” We also plant to have “TeaMentors,” “AcademicAdvisors,” “GamingGurus,” “TransLaters,” and other groups coming up to get the discussion and work moving.
This is a global community project. Don’t be shy! Jump right in and share your ideas and efforts. It’s almost bedtime so I’ll close asking that weighty end of the day question, “Have You Change the World Today?”
